The Book of Mormon

Gather your gang and your congregation and hurry up to the Adler Theatre this Saturday, March 30, for The Book of Mormon’s final showing here in Davenport, Iowa! Elders Price (Sam McLellan) and Cunningham (Sam Nackman) may not be two peas in a pod, but being stuck in remote Uganda, Africa, does bring out a strange sort of kinship between even the most polar of opposites. Join our misguided Mormon missionaries in 2 ½ hours of hilariously irreverent mayhem as they try to convert a tribe of atheistic natives, all while battling language barriers, cultural shock, warlords, and Star Wars quotes. Born from the twisted trinity of Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone, the 9x Tony Award-winning musical comedy returns to the road for a nearly 30-city tour across North America this 2024, with direction and choreography by Jennifer Werner. Book your seats now and watch The Book of Mormon LIVE, magnificently backdropped by the Adler Theatre!

Over a dozen years ago, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone joined forces with acclaimed songwriting playwright Robert Lopez to conceive the most transgressive comedy Broadway has ever known. Now, it’s back. BIGGER. BETTER. And BAUDIER than ever! Embark on the Tony Award-winning bandwagon of The Book of Mormon as it barrels down North America with reckless abandon, hitting nearly 30 venues en route. On the 30th of March, the tour’s stop in Davenport will cap off two days of side-splitting performances LIVE at the Adler Theatre!

“The filthiest, most offensive, and–surprise–sweetest thing you’ll see this year, and quite possibly the funniest musical ever."

Meet the most hysterical Broadway duo of all time in this 2 ½-hour tale of cultural mishaps and shameless shenanigans! Stranded in Uganda, Africa, Mormon Elders Kevin Price and Arnold Cunnigham must set their wildly conflicting differences aside for the sake of their mission — converting stubbornly atheistic natives through the Good Word. As hard as that sounds, it’s only going to get a lot harder for our not-quite heroes as they fend off a vicious warlord and deal with language barriers in increasingly hilarious antics. Will Star Wars and Lord of the Rings trivia save the day? Probably not, but come see it anyway!
